Sam and Linda flew in Thursday to spend a long weekend with us and to celebrate Noah's first birthday. We've had such a great time with them. It was super special that Sam's kids, Dan and Elisa and their spouses, could join us for dinner on Saturday. Linda picked out a cupcake cake for Noah to get to smash (and eat!) Noah LOVED the experience, UNLIKE Tommy on his first birthday when he just burst into tears after we sang the birthday song to him! Noah was delighted to be the center of attention and then almost forgot we were watching him when he got so engrossed in eating his new treat. After the fun of watching Noah discover his cupcake, the highlight of the evening was playing a big game of "Things" which Poppa Sam won with 14 points! Anise came in a close second with 12 points, though. The kids and adults alike had a ball! There was not a shortage of laughter tonight! All our guests are super stunned by Sarah's latest painting which Mommy LOVES. I can't get over (and neither can our guests) how amazing this one is...
