Paris' Missing Two Front Teeth

We love seeing her precious front toothless smile!Paris LOVES her brother, Noah! She is SO sweet to him. He is one lucky kiddo...his siblings adore him! Tommy often says, "Mom, him do this me! (and then Tommy grins at me showing me how Noah smiled at him. Apparently, Tommy doesn't "know" the word smile...he just shows me a smile to tell me what Noah "does" to him!) So cute!

Paris and Noah right before church on April 10, 2011:
Tommy is all serious business before heading out to church this Sunday:
Tommy told me today that he was ready to poop in the potty. I have to say I had my doubts that it would actually come to pass...literally...because he's been trying to use his potty for pooping for MANY weeks now. He had his normal great morning with wearing underwear all day, and he's been sleeping through the night with just jammies on for a couple months. He still cheers for himself to us each morning that his jammies are dry and, "Me pee potty!" We still make a big deal with verbal praise for his pee pee in the toilet but the treats have long stopped for that feat. The trouble with TeeTom comes after that sweet afternoon nap that I so look forward to...but dread the after nap poop clean-up that inevitably comes along with it! He and Fletcher have always been sooo predictable in their bodies' daily "rhythms." Tommy just couldn't muster up the discipline to go sit on the potty after waking up from his nap. I am very thankful he never laid in bed and went potty in his underwear. Yay, that he at least climbed down from the top bunk and "hid" somewhere in his room or the playroom before pooping. BUT, today was THE day!!! He was serious. He did go poop in his little potty for the third time ever!!! Praise God!!!!!! I didn't have to wash out poopy underwear today! Yippie for me!

Brotherly love

Charlie asked, "Tommy, do you have a girlfriend?"

Tommy paused and then, "Pay Pay!"

Ahhh, Tommy loves his sister! Pretty cute!

Some pictures of them together:
(A public roller hockey rink that is a twenty minute walk from our apartment- a favorite destination for Fletcher)
(The two of them in the double stroller together like old times...Pay Pay (in Noah's spot) was only in it this day because she had vomited the night before and wasn't well enough to walk all the way to the roller hockey rink.)
(picture of them from the spring 2010- Tommy wearing one of my favorite outfits from Gammy- the smocked farmer overalls.)

Tommy loving Noah his first week of life

Tommy has called Noah "Dough Dough" since we found out we were having a boy. We have all affectionately called Noah by his Tommy nickname ever since!

Paris' Baptism, January 2010

The beginning of this video is Charlie interviewing the kids informally about how Paris decided to trust in Jesus. Fletcher shared the Gospel with her over a meal last June when Paris was four. The clips were shared with the students the Wednesday night Paris was baptized January 2010. These clips aren't edited, but I wanted to remember the kids' responses, facial expressions, and sweet voices. Paris has already started dropping her habit of sounding like she's from Boston in the way she said, "Bah-bee (Barbie), bah-n (barn), fah-m (farm), cah (car)." Oh, I'm gonna miss the baby/little kid stages. Tommy is cracking us all up now with his attempts at words. As Paris grows out of the funny words stage, Tommy is definitely entering it. His first sentence was officially, "Oh Momma! Momma toot!" His facial expression as he says this (which he says most days!!) is sooo hilarious! He squinches up his nose, squeezes his eyes almost to a slit, and waves his little hand in front of his face with much gusto exaggerating the extent of the smell (or maybe not!) :)

Two Year Old Tommy

Tommy train, Tee Tom, Tom-Tom...is loving Star Wars play toys just like his big brother! He also loves horsey rides like his sisters! Thank You, God, for siblings!

Tom-Tom turns two!

We all had so much fun celebrating Tommy's second birthday! The morning started with a "trail" of new blocks leading from his bedroom down the stairs to the dining table where towers were built for him around his birthday spot. The big kids loved showing him all the fun to be had with his new block set, and Fletcher was super excited about helping him open his gifts of Little People from our family. Chocolate chip banana pancakes are a birthday treat that everyone looks forward to on bday mornings. Well, maybe not Charles. He's into blueberry only! The rest of us also enjoy coconut with our chocolate chip or the standard banana nut variety, too! ANY fruit in our pancakes is just great with us...we've all become Popsy proteges. :)
